Some Quilty Housekeeping

Quilt Top

Please make sure your quilt top is squared up and pressed. Also, do your best to clip any stray threads. This will ensure that you end up with the best results possible!

Batting

If you are choosing to send us your own batting, please ensure that it is at least 6 inches wider and longer than your quilt top. Also, a high quality batting works the best. If you are choosing to use our batting, we will do all of this for you and, as a bonus, you are able to fit your top and backing into a smaller box when you ship to us (much more cost effective).

Backing

Your backing should be at least 8 inches wider and longer than your quilt top. This allows us to load your quilt properly. It is not required, but is a bonus, for your backing to be pieced horizontally rather than vertically so that it is smooth across the longarm.

Shipping

Typically, it is more cost effective to use USPS flat rate boxes. USPS also provides these boxes for free. Make sure that your quilt is in some type of sealed plastic bag to help protect it from moisture. Once we receive your information, we will provide you with the address to ship your quilt.
